Located in central Auckland and surrounded by mature trees and set-in park like grounds, One Tree Hill College is a multicultural secondary school with a reputation of producing high performers.

Excellence, Aspiration, Innovation, Respect and Responsibility.

One Tree Hill College opened in 1955 and with core values and excellence, aspiration, innovation, respect and responsibility they have and will continue to positively shape the lives of many young adults.

Administered by an independent trust, One Tree Hill College are the kaitiaki (guardian) for an extraordinary collection of artworks that began on a shoestring budget and the vision of Principal Murray Print and head of art, Wallace Crossman in 1969. Together they used profits from selling meat pies in the tuck shop to purchase local artists’ work beginning with an oil painting from the Motorway series by Robert Ellis. Today students and staff can draw inspiration from work by iconic artists such as Colin McCahon, Stanley Palmer, Todd Wollaston, Dick Frizzell, Pat Hanley, Flox and Gretchen Albrecht.

Metroscape

Godfrey Hirst Metroscape, 770 Meteor carpet was chosen by the school to create the perfect neutral backdrop for their iconic art collection.
Evoking the map-like striations of a city grid and intersected with recessed geometric blocks. This minimalistic styling in neutral tones with simple patterns convey both a sense of warmth and structured discipline.

One Tree Hill College was particularly attracted to the simplistic look and practicality of the carpet. Metroscape tiles are heavy duty, durable commercial grade carpet, with excellent acoustic qualities making them perfect for the school environment.

GH Commercial’s commitment to sustainability and material transparency was fundamental in the decision-making process. Choosing products that have a positive impact on the environment as well as the health and well-being of staff and students aligns with the school’s core values. Being Red List Free means our carpet tiles are toxin free and no harsh chemicals were used in the production of making carpet tiles. Indoor air quality is paramount for healthy learning minds and bodies.

One Tree Hill College are delivering, both a high-quality education and learning environments.
